Sadiq Ali A close associate of Sheikh Abdullah and a prominent leader of Shias in Kashmir.

He quit the NC because of differences over the undemocratic functioning of the party, as well as differences over the inclusion of Moulvi Iftikhar Ansari into the working committee.

He joined the People's Democratic Party (PDP)and currently holds the position of the state secretary.
