  • When you hit "save page", when this happens there ought to be a warning screen titled "Edit conflict" that appears instead of letting you immediately save the page. If that's not happening, maybe there's something screwy with the MediaWiki software, which I've heard sometimes will happen on a page that is very busy with lots of edits in a short period of time. Rhetoric softening

Rather than saying things like "I will continue to refer to him as a male as long as he has a dick and a Y chromosome", can you in the future (or even edit that comment now) phrase your opinion in a way that your opponents won't cherry-pick as an insult and ignore the opposition itself? It just gives them ammo for the "you're transphobic!" accusations. If that is actually your opinion, that's fine (though effective opposition to this needs to be grounded in Wikipedia policy as well), but perhaps consider phrasing it like "As long as he is physiological male, I will refer to him as he" or somesuch. I see what you're saying but it does not seem necessary. My stern responses are, at least in my opinion, not as crass as those who demand I call Bradley a "she." I wrote that in such a way so that it would come off as something to the effect of "not only will I continue to refer to him by male pronouns, but how dare you ask me to do otherwise" or something like that.
