Moore Stephens is one of the world's major accounting and consulting networks with 299 independent firms and 624 offices in 101 countries. Moore Stephens' UK firm was founded in 1907[1] and ranked the 10th largest accounting firm (by revenue) in the United Kingdom.[2]

Today the network comprises 636 offices in 101 countries throughout the world, incorporating 21,197 people and with fees of more than US$2.298 billion.[3]

The firm's services include accounting, auditing, shipping consulting, and financial advisory. In the UK, Moore Stephens is a mid-tier firm and its competitors include Grant Thornton, BDO Stoy Hayward, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Ernst and Young, and Baker Tilly.

In 2009, Moore Stephens UK prevailed in a legal case in Moore Stephens v Stone Rolls Ltd, which set the legal principle that a company cannot rely on its own illegal fraud when bringing a claim for negligence against its auditors.[4]
