Response: A real good link for you to check out is http://www.yachtsurvey.com/bilge_pumps.htm. Type of battery you use is an important element. There is a lot to bilge pumps. You have to hunt but there is information available on the web. A good start is the link above. Good luck!
Question. I have been using a small bilge pump for about six months. I have it connected to a small batter (motorcycly batter). The pump has been working great until recently it is unable to pump the water up and out of the hose. I have trouble-shooted everything I can think of (checked the hose/pump for clogs or kinks). The batter still has almost a full charge.
If the battery is not "fully charged" will it cause the pump to not be powerful enough.
I have the pump pushing the water up about five feet and until now it has not been a problem for the pump.
What do I need to do?
