It is located about 8 miles from Picton on County Road 8 and is packed with natural beauty and historical significance for American colonists whose loyalty to King George III meant fleeing America during their war of independence from England to sail across Lake Ontario to settle in the Waupoos region all the way up the lake Ontario shoreline to Cornwall at the mouth of the St. Lawrence river. |
