One questionable item from the contributions section.

I removed this from the contributions section, and I bring it here for discussion:

  • 2007 Diamond In Your Mind - Digital Single, by Tom Waits and Kronos Quartet with Greg Cohen - Waits sings at benefit, CD (Healing The Divide: A Concert For Peace And Reconciliation - release on July 10, 2007) recorded on September 21, 2003 concert at NYC’s Avery Fisher Hall featuring Tom Waits and the Kronos Quartet with Greg Cohen, Philip Glass and his Holiness The Dalai Lama, among others.

This is not, strictly speaking, a "contribution" by Waits to an album or project by someone else. This is Tom performing his own song with another group and releasing it as a single under his own name. If this entire concert had been released as an album, that would be another matter altogether, since we have several of those on the contributions list. This should go somewhere else, though I'm not sure where, since we do not have a singles chart. Should it simply be placed in the chart of his releases? Besides all that, this was very poorly written, so it's hard to tell what it's saying. There is a lot of extraneous information there... ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 15:05, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Atmosphere

I added his contribution to Atmosphere's newest album, but it was removed. This contribution is mentioned on the main Wiki for the page and is legit. Why was it removed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.219.5.219 (talkcontribs) (09:34, 19 April 2008)

I think it was automatically removed by a vandalism bot because it included a swear-word and so looked like vandalism. If you look at the revision comment, there is a link to report the mistake to the bot's owner. --VinceBowdren (talk) 08:11, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re-naming?

Should this article not instead be named "Tom Waits discography and filmography" seeing as this is what the article contains, and seeing as the link is in the Tom Waits article under the section title "Tom Waits discography and filmography". Anyway, thoughts? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alan16 (talkcontribs) (17:17, 2 October 2009)

No, the convention is to include the filmography (where applicable) but limit the title to discography. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 01:20, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just moved the article back to the original title. No discussion ever took place as to a page move and the convention across the site is to limit the title, as I said above. Consensus should be reached before the page is moved again. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 15:20, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Filmography

I wonder since when it is a convention to include the filmography in the discography article. I think it should be either included in the main article or moved to an independent article. Myxomatosis57 (talk) 08:28, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to the blues

This album is not mentioned:
