Funds for Dam
Without a good economical resources, it was almost impossible to build up a big dam which need crores but command area people did not loose the hope. They organized a Panchayat again and asked every family of the village Khandip to contribute in this big projects. Every family of the village contribute minimum 1000INR for this project. Those who can contribute more, they added extra 11,0000-21,000 INR in this project. The work started with this money only.
Later Village Katkad added 5-6Lakhs INR and other command area village people added more money for the project. The Political leaders Ramesh Chand Meena guided for this projects and helped in technical human resources and engineering stuff.A Meena leader, Makkhan lal contributed 11Lakhs for the project and Kirodi lal contributed 2 lakhs INR for this projects.
Slowly slowly the dream started come true and the basic level of the dam has been completed.
This is the unique example of making such a big project successful by some village people. This dam still needs alot of funds for its completion. They also believe State govt will listen and help them someday.
