Steven J. Kung was inspired to write “A Leading Man” after witnessing the stereotypical and two-dimensional depictions of Asian Americans in film and television. With A Leading Man, he hopes to elevate the dialogue on Asian American media equality.

A Leading Man premiered on October 18th, 2013 at the 33rd Hawaii International Film Festival. The film is slated for a September 26th, 2014 US theatrical release.
