Gerard Scharfenberger is a conservative politician and the former Mayor of Middletown, New Jersey.[1] He is a member of the Republican Party. In 2010, Governor Chris Christie appointed Scharfenberger to the position of Director of the Office for Planning Advocacy. In 2013, Governor Chris Christie and Governor Mitt Romney endorsed Scharfenberger for mayoral re-election.
