Dr.Pandit Narasimhalu Vadavati (Kannada: ಡಾ.ಪಂಡಿತ್ ನರಸಿಂಹಲು ವಡವಾಟಿ [[1]] ) is an International clarinet musician. He was born in 1942 in Vadavati, a small village in Raichur taluk of Karnataka, India. His birth day, 21st January, is being celebrated every year as ``Artist Day in India’’ [[File:Dr. Pt. A born Artist
Pandit Narasimhulu Vadavati has earned an outstanding reputation for his pioneering contribution to music having adapted a Western Classical instrument, Clarinet to Hindustani style of music. The International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, U.K. has now listed him in its International Who’s Who in Music. His fame shot to new heights when he directed music for the award winning French Documentary “Hathi”. He was nominated as president of the World Music Festival 2011 organized at Los Angeles by World Clarinet Association.
'Outstanding Man of the Twentieth Century'
Dr. Pandit Narasimhalu Vadavati is Honoured and considered as an 'Outstanding Artist' of the 20th Century by International Biographical Centre, Cambridge. He was Honoured with the title 'Hindustani Clarinet Sangeetha Ratna' by Government Music College, Coimbatore, Government of Tamil Nadu. 'Surmani' title by Sur singer samsad, Bombay. 'Karnataka Kala Tilak' title by Karnataka Music and Dance Academy.
A Music Academy for Artists
Pandit Narasimhalu Vadavati has found divinity in music. He is not satisfied being just a performing artist. He has found immense pleasure in identifying and nurturing innumerable budding artists, filling their lives with hopes and tenderness. For three decades now, his passion to spread music has inspired him to set up Music Academy “Swara Sangama Sangeetha Vidyalaya” at Raichur and “Pandit Narasimalu Vadavati Music Academy” at Bangalore
`Artists Day in India’ to commemorate the contribution of the dedicated artists of India
Dr. Pandit Narasimhalu Vadavati pure and selfless dedication to the world of fine arts and artists is worthy of emulation. In honour of Pt. Narasimhalu Vadavati “21st of January every year” the day of his birth, is being be celebrated as “Artist’s Day in India” by Bharath Cultural Centre. The `Artist’s Day in Inida’’ is organised not only to celebrate the birth day of Dr.Pandit Narasimhalu Vadavati but also to commemorate the contribution of the dedicated artists of India to the field of Indian Fine Arts.
