==Questions about deleted figures==

Hello, Mikenorton. I noticed that you recently delete several figures from the page Tectonic of South China Sea which I created. However, I cited these figures from a published book and I redrew all of them, for Fig 6 and Fig 8 especially. Would you please tell me why these reworked figures still have problems? Thank you! Much thanks

Thank you so much for your help at Mary Kessell. I left last night with the intention of making additional corrections today and was pleasantly surprised to see it in the queue (thanks to your work). Much appreciated. All the best, France3470 (talk)

Thank you for your suggestion on my Tectonics of South China Sea page

Hi Mike, I saw your talk on my page. Thank you very much for your suggestion. That is a good point to my page. I am contacting those publishers to request the permission for using those figures.

I wouldn't hold out much hope - redrawing them with modifications is always a better solution. I'll hold off for now, but they will likely be deleted. Mikenorton (talk) 17:20, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ravenscar Group, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ravenscar. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Images for Groups

Thanks Mike for adding all the images to the groups pages recently - they do make a difference. cheers Geopersona (talk) 11:05, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You're very welcome - it's a good challenge in some cases - there's a few that are so poorly exposed that I can't find any images at all. Having all geograph images as a layer in google earth makes it a bit easier, combined with the online BGS geological map - hopefully they're all correctly attributed. Cheers, Mikenorton (talk) 11:09, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
