#REDIRECT Beer Pong

Beirut is a variation of beer pong played with quarters instead of ping-pong balls. It is similar in nature to the game, but has rules that distingush it.

Game set-up
The game is played on a table, generally about 8 feet long. Any beer pong table will work. Cups of beer are arranged horizontally in a pyramid style and filled accordingly:

o <--- full cup of beer
o o <--- 2 1/2 full cups
o o o <--- 3 1/3 full cups
o o o o <--- 4 1/4 full cups

The pyramid is set up so that the edges of the cups are touching, and the last row is approximately one inch from the back edge of the table. This pyramid of cups is arranged on both sides of the table.

Teams and gameplay
Beirut can be played with 2 or 3 players comprising a team. More players can participate, but generally 3 is the accepted number of players per team. A coin flip determines which team will shoot first. Each team then selects an order in which they will shoot, similar to a lineup in baseball.

For example purposes, call the teams "A" and "B", and the players "A1," "A2," etc. Team A shoots first, therefore player A1 attempts to shoot the quarter into the opposing team's cup. If A1 misses, B1 does not have to drink and it is B1's shot. After B1's shot, comes A2 and so forth.

If a player's shot quarter lands in a cup, the opposing player must drink it before play continues. So, if A1 hits a shot, B1 must finish that particular beer. Play continues until one team has all of their cups eliminated.

Rules
* Cups re-rack every time one is hit. If a cup is eliminated from play, another is pulled from the backmost row to replace it. In the event that a whole row is eliminated, the remaining cups pull back to the edge of the table.
* The front cup always stays full. Any cup pulled up to replace the front cup must be filled.
* If a quarter lands in a cup and that cup falls off the table, the ruling is where the quarter lands. If the quarter stays in the cup (even though most of the beer may have spilled out), the player must finish what is left and the cup is taken off the table. If the quarter lands outside of the cup, it is considered a miss and the cup is placed back on the table and re-filled with its original amount.
* The only time shots are allowed to be taken again are if the quarter lands flat, resting on top of cups (but not in), or if a cup falls down and lands upside-down with the quarter underneath it.
* Play will not continue until any hit beers are finished.
