Hello, August Ragone. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

*Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
*Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
*Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Hello August! I noticed you made a few edits to the Tsuburaya Productions article. You may be very knowledgeable about that subject if you really are August. However, don't make unconstructive edits such as [THIS IS FALSE] like you did, instead edit the content itself and fix the errors. Greetings and warm welcomings from a fellow Ultra fan.Invisible Noise (talk)

Hi, August. In regards this edit, I note that Nippon Gendai and Senkosha did some other work together, Nippon Gendai had been in the article for a long time, and your edit is unsourced. But I just want to ask you to double check to make sure you got it right. Thanks. SamEV (talk) 00:30, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

August, here! Yes, I am absolutely sure. Nippon Modern Planning aka Nippon Gendai Kikaku, did not exist until 1971. This is sourced from several Japanese publications, including Kodansha's "Kyodai Hiro Daizenshu" and others. I'm just getting the hang of using Wiki properly, so I can cite proper sources. Thanks! August Ragone (talk) 01:45, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I think you know what you're talking about. Happy editing! SamEV (talk) 01:57, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Sam! August Ragone (talk) 00:26, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where are my manners?!
I'm by no means an expert; but since I've been at this a few years more than you have, if you need help, it's conceivable that I might be able to provide it.
And if not, you'll find out soon enough! :) SamEV (talk) 22:57, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I'd appreciate it! Cheers and Happy Holidays! August Ragone (talk) 20:37, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In Space Battleship Yamato, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Makoto Kobayashi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Mazinger Z may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Information icon Hello, August Ragone.

 • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
 • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
 • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
