Wilmer is an unincorporated hamlet in the rural north of Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana.[1]

Wilmer is centered on the intersection of LA 10 and LA 1061. Although the surrounding area is hilly, Wilmer is a mere 64 feet above sea level.[2]

Wilmer is the home of Louisiana businessperson, farmer and political activist Gayle Liuzza,[3] Tangipahoa Council District 1 member of the Tangipahoa Republican Parish Executive Committee (RPEC).[4]

Wilmer was victimized by the 1908 Dixie tornados which killed four of the settlement's residents.[5]
