Noel signed a 1 year contract with Dunfermline Athletic in July 2006 making his fisrt competitive start on the 29th July against Hearts in a 2-1 defeat. Unfortunately he had to leave the field injured after 5 minutes. It remains to be seen if he will prove to be a success with the Pars. |

Noel David Whelan (born 30 December 1974) is an English professional footballer previously of Scottish First Division club Livingston.
His former clubs include; Leeds United, Coventry City, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace, Millwall, Derby County, Aberdeen and Boston United.
After successful treatment at the Sporting Chance clinic for addicts, Whelan joined up with Scottish outift Livingston. Unfortunately, he fell off the wagon spectacuraly in a memorable session in Spearmint Rhinos in Leeds, July 2006. He even managed to kiss 2 girls and have 3 pints of cider. Noel has recently been given a role as the banker on "deal or no deal".
