Confusing names.
Although the name Groove Music appears in various Microsoft websites, Windows 10, and Windows 10 Mobile, for some reason many sources and Microsoft itself simply use the term "Groove" and to make matters even more confusing the new Google Play application is called "Microsoft Groove" I don't suggest a rename, but it's clear that the naming can be confusing so I suggest that we could put alternative names in the entry in the future. --1.55.1.190 (talk) 07:40, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

The name is Groove, not Groove Music

Source: http://www.theverge.com/2015/7/6/8902079/microsoft-groove-music-features

"Microsoft mistakenly referred to Groove as Groove Music in its announcement. The company says it's simply Groove and is working to correct its mistake. This article has been updated to reflect the correct name."

Previously Zune Music

It should be noted that Xbox Music is from Zune Music. The only article that addresses Zune Music is Zune Software so I don't think we need to merge any articles. Does anybody think this article should mention the Zune Music history or just address that it's formally Zune Music? Sources: [1]Douglasr007 (talk) 21:09, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, in the Windows folder it's named Microsoft.zunemusic and not Xbox, so it's not a different service but the SAME under a different name, thus it would be relevant to include it in the article. --86.81.201.94 (talk) 14:21, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

30 million songs is not correct

It's actually just 18 million songs. Source: http://www.xbox.com/de-DE/music http://www.xbox.com/en-ca/Music?xr=shellnav — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.255.130.110 (talk) 19:34, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I can see that in http://www.xbox.com/en-US/music too. Looks like we have two conflicting sources, both from Microsoft. Which one should we choose? Or, any other idea? Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 22:36, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's 18M in the US; globally it's 30M. http://gizmodo.com/5951705/xbox-music-hands-on-the-perfect-music-serviceif-you-use-nothing-but-microsoft-stuff

I think the 18 million one is correct since this covers all three major labels. It's what most services offer. Where would they get another 12 million tracks from? 2003:45:CB05:BF00:B1FF:F585:48F:664A (talk) 20:38, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Logo vs. computer icon

Recently, Cloudbound replaced Xbox Music's computer icon with a logo and wordmark. I reverted because of WP:NFCC#8 and WP:NFCC#1. Here is a more detailed why:

The computer icon clear gives more information than the logo. The logo is not specific to Xbox Music; it is the Xbox logo with "Xbox Music" word written near it. As such, it is a decorative thing, used to promote Xbox brand. WP:NFC#UUI #17 says use of such logos are inappropriate. (There has been similar discussion about the generic Windows logos in WP:NFCR, in which administrator Masem used his admin power to override me and enforce WP:NFC#UUI. Only back then, there was no version-specific Windows logos.) Such non-free contents can be explained with words alone. (Of course it is nothing to explain, because what a reader is supposed to do with it?) The computer icon, on the other hand, is an important method of recognizing Xbox Music app in Windows. When this computer icon is seen (alone or with text), it represents a computer program that can be run.

Features section

ViperSnake151 You keep removing the features section, meanwhile other articles have sections with equal levels of details such as Google Play Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music, in fact this is one of the only articles where the feature section has little to no details. --LyThienDao1984 (talk) 01:27, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Name

Microsoft lists the name as Groove Music in several sources, a name that has been repeated by several news sites:

Also note that the image used on all news sites (even the one that don't call it Groove Music) use the image that reads "Welcome to Groove Music", so I suggest renaming the page. --Hoang the Hoangest (talk) 01:07, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also here is the official site, which also refers to it as Groove Music.
