The Provinces of KSA were administrative-territorial entities of Saudi Arabia.
From their orginizations in 1932 until 1980, Saudi Arabia consisted of six (initially five) provinces. they were as: follows:[1]
- Asir Province - Southern
- El Hasa Province - Eastern
- Hejaz Province - Western
- Nejd Province - Central
- Rub al Khali Province - Southeastern
- Shammar Province - Northern
Around 1980, the Northern Province was created from the Western and Central.[2]
