Ngalande-Fuller was born in Malawi, Central Africa. The youngest of seven children, she is no stranger to struggle and perseverance. Her parents divorced when she was 7 years old, and she focused her energy on being the best student possible, faithfully walking barefoot to the nearest school miles away. At times their family faced starvation because of famine. Not only did her mother struggle to put food on the table, she showered them with unconditional love, encouragement and spiritual strength. During a moment of deep prayer when she was 14, Ngalande-Fuller writes that she began speaking in tongues, an experience that transformed her life. She eventually came to Syracuse, N.Y., and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. As You Can Destroy Your Defiant Giant!, her first book, reveals, she also holds an MBA degree and she is a PHD candidate. The founder of World Liberty, a motivational organization, she also holds many other titles, including consultant, professor, motivational speaker, business planner/strategist, minister, Entrepreneur, accountant, and most importantly, survivor. It is a rare person who goes through life unscathed by trauma, conflicts or battles with life’s tragedies. In her new book, You Can Destroy Your Defiant Giant!: Battered Wife to 4.0 GPA Masters Degree in 8 Months (now available through AuthorHouse), Mable Fuller boldly exposes her wounded spirit to show readers that it is possible to emerge triumphant from a horrible past. Domestic violence almost took Ngalande-Fuller’s life at one time, but she not only survived her ex-husband’s ruthless attacks, she thrived in the wake of her ordeal. You Can Destroy Your Defiant Giant! illustrates how she drew on her faith in God and an inextinguishable fire in her spirit to overcome a threatening adversary. It paints a startlingly detailed picture of the horrors many women around the world face on a daily basis. But along with the painful experiences, she weaves a message of hope, including all the times God spoke to her throughout her abuse. “God is more powerful than any pain or sorrow anyone can ever go through,” she writes. From meeting her ex-husband through giving birth to their children to awakening to what she must do, Ngalande-Fuller takes readers through her incredible story. She then applies what she has learned to a variety of traumas and tragedies with which people may be grappling, inspiring them that, with God’s love, they can achieve anything.
