Prakashan (Unni Mukundan), an electrician cum passionate wrestler in Mallapuram village. Hailing from a family that follows tradition and superstitions, his mother Sushila (Bindhu Panikker) consults with an astrologer Manoj (Aju Varghese) about Prakashan's marriage often. Manoj knows about Prakashan's interest with Ashwathy (Sanusha). Manoj's friends Kochukuttan (Sudhi Koppa), Kuriachan (Prashanth), Sankunni (Bijukuttan) and Shivan (Sadiq) help Prakashan in this matter.

Kunjachan (Balaji Sharma), the wrestling champion of Mallapuram, challenges Prakashan to a match. He accepts Kunjachan's challenge. When Prakashan was heading home, he finds a girl named Parvathy (Prayaga Martin). She asks him for directions to her relative's house and on finding the house locked requests him for a place to stay that night.

Upon seeing Prakashan and Parvathy together, Sushila assumes that the two have gotten married and she invites her "daughter-in-law" with a lamp. A startled Prakashan tries to convince Sushila that they are not married, but in vain, and news of Prakashan's "marriage" spreads. Sushila happily accepts Parvathy as her daughter-in-law. As time goes on, Prakashan discovers that somehow since her appearance, life changes for the better and good things happen to him. Eventually, Prakashan defeats the wrestling champion Kunjachan.

When Prakashan proposes to Parvathy that night, she admits that she is a Yakshi. To convince him, she takes him to his mother's room where another Parvathy is sleeping beside Sushila.

The next day Prakashan tells Parvathy that he saw a dream in which she was a Yakshi urging to drink his blood. Shivan and his friends consults Manoj. Kochuttan tells about when he saw Parvathy above a coconut tree when he tried to steal coconuts from Prakashan's field. The friends understand that Parvathy is a Yakshi.

Sankunni brings Ghost Hunter Suni (Suraj Venjaramoodu) to investigate the case using modern paranormal methods, but Parvathy scares him away. Eventually she scares Sankunni and Kuriachan in the form of Devi and Virgin Mary. After all these incidents, Parvathy leaves. Prakashan suffered a great shock after her departure and rejects the proposal of Ashwathy. Sushila tries to commit suicide by drinking poison, but his uncle rescues her and Prakashan agrees to marry Ashwathy.

Shivan consults Palani Ashan (Jayaprakash Kuloor) who is an expert in trapping spirits. He sees in his mind that in the past life, Prakashan was Unni Namboothiri who fell in love with the Pulaya worker who was actually Parvathy. His mother who was Sushila found their love and told his father who was Shivan in past life. Unni Namboothiri tells his father that he will marry Parvathy only. During Padayani which was performing outside the Mana, Unni Namboothiri's father told a worker to kill Parvathy. He does that by killing her in the pond that belonged to the Mana.

In the present life, Parvathy again appears infront of Prakashan and tells him that he is the only one who could hear or see her. Prakashan believes her.

When the Padayani ceremony is performing outside Prakashan's house, Parvathy felt irritated as she remembers that she was the wife of Prakashan's past birth. When she was lying dead in the pond, Unni Namboothiri married her by tying his locket string to her neck. She understood that she came as a Yakshi to get revenge on Shivan and the one who killed her.

Prakashan tries to block his own marriage by encouraging a boy (who loved Ashwathy before) to love again and marry Ashwathy, but he met with an accident. Prakashan finds that it was Parvathy who did it. Prakashan tries to tell Ashwathy to recede herself from marriage, but he accidentally says that he loves her. Prakashan finds that it was also a trick of Parvathy. She tells Prakashan that he should marry Ashwathy.

The day before Prakashan's marriage, Shivan again consults Palani Ashan, but Palani Ashan tells him that the spirit did not leave. Afterwards he leaves and asks a girl about the bus, but it was Parvathy. Scared, Shivan gets hit by a car.

The village's wrestling champion Kunjachan (Balaji Sharma) challenges Prakashan to fight. He happens to meet Parvathy (Prayaga Martin) while returning home. She pleads him for a place to stay that night since her relatives are not available. Prakashan brings Parvathy to his house. His mother started treating Parvathy as her "daughter-in-law" though Prakashan narrated the truth. As days passed, he falls in love with her. Eventually, Prakashan defeats the wrestling champion Kunjachan. While proposing his love to her, Prakashan is shocked to know that Parvathy is a ghost and his friends also confirm the same.
When Prakashan goes to sleep, he finds Parvathy sitting on his bed. She tells him that she is leaving. Prakashan asks her to take him, but she tells him that he can look onto the moon to see her. She stands to go, but Prakashan stops her and they make love.

Palani Ashan (Jayaprakash Kuloor), a renowned tantric expert found that Prakashan and Parvathy were lovers in the past life. His past life father (who is Manoj's friend Shivan in this life) killed her through his aide. She tries to exact revenge on the persons who killed her.
The next day Prakashan wakes up late in the morning on his wedding day. He searches for Parvathy everywhere, calling out her name. It was also the day when Prakashan's brother-in-law, (Sabumon), was coming home. He had killed Parvathy in his past life. Prakashan married Ashwathy. During the wedding night, Suku went to the pond to take a bath. Parvathy finds him and tries to kill him, but she heard Prakashan calling out her name in her mind. She stops and lets him go free.

After that, Parvathy insists Prakashan to marry Aswathy and leaves him. Prakashan & Aswathy get married and live happily.
Prakashan tries to tell Ashwathy about Parvathy. But they were interrupted by Sushila telling him that she came to see him after a long time. Thinking that it was Parvathy, he went outside. Actually it was Ammu the pet dog of Prakashan, which was frightened away due to the presence of Parvathy. He found that Parvathy went away from him ever after.

Later, Suku and his family went to Gulf. Shivan disbelieved in Yakshis. However, Kuriachan began to believe in spirits and Manoj joined the mill of Ashwathy's father abandoning his astrology job. Both Prakashan and Ashwathy lived happily for ever after.
