I'm pretty sure that a hot zone is also a region where there is armed conflict. Places like this would be Kashmir, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Colombia, etc. That should be added to the article I think. In fact, that was the only definition of 'hot zone' that I had had until I came and looked at this page.

HotZone

Hot zone - HotZone (technology-Wireless).

Hot zone or HotZone is a wireless access area that consist of multiple HotSpots. Each hotspot has a geographical area coverage between 30 meters and 100 meters. A HotZone is providing a single continuous coverage area for wireless network. (Seamless connection)
