American artist (California, 1984). California native son singer-songwriter Kyle Krone began his music career in the small idyllic seaside village of San Clemente, CA.

Biography

The Shys

As the founding member and frontman of the beloved indie rock band The Shys he took the LA music scene by storm and found a home on legendary Sire Records joining the ranks of many of Krone’s musical hero's like Talking Heads, The Cure, and The Smiths . As the bands principal songwriter Krone was signed to the worlds largest independent Music Publisher Peer Music Company in 2006 which set the stage for a successful and dynamic songwriting career. The Shys recorded two critically acclaimed full length albums (2006 "Astoria" & 2008 "You'll Never Understand This Band The Way That I Do") three EP’s and toured extensively both domestically and internationally. The group found success with Krone's songs “Call In The Cavalry” “Never Gonna Die” and "The Hangman" all of which have been featured in dozens of major and independent films, television shows and commercial advertisements. The single “Never Gonna Die” even earned Krone and the band a No.1 spot on The Billboard US Garage Rock Charts.

Solo career

In the summer of 2011 with his new found leisure after several years of touring as the supporting act to some of music's best and biggest names (The Killers, Delta Spirit, The Strokes, Phoenix) the then 27 year old artist entered the studio with a fresh creative vision and renewed enthusiasm for his craft. Krone embarked on an exciting new solo career recording and producing his solo debut "For Those Who Think Young" with longtime engineer Mark Rains (B.R.M.C, Robert Francis) The new album with its sophisticated idealism and dreamy imagery earned the artist an eclectic young audience. The fans and the press alike praised Krone’s new work and applauded the exuberant sonic shift. Among the new influx of fans were such names as Jared and Matthew Followill of Kings Of Leon, actor Aaron Paul who took to their social media platforms to broadcast their praise of Krone’s new music. The albums singles were picked up on indie and alternative radio across the US helping to drive impressive sales for the independent album.

Krone’s blend of California charisma and creativity have carved out a unique path for a refreshingly original and enigmatic musical talent. Following his successful debut Krone's music caught the attention of likeminded Producers and Artists who've enlisted his talents for various projects. An ever growing list of co-writes have produced a wide ranging style of original music from collaborations with the likes of grammy award winning producers Dave Cobb and Mark Batson, indie artists L.A. (Luis A. Segura) Matt Wignall (Cold War Kids, Mando Diao) and Charis Ashcraft to name a few. Krone continues composing new music for film, television and commercial work landing tasteful syncs with Fashion Icons GUESS & J.Crew, and being featured on networks like HBO, ABC, NBC, CBS, MLB, MTV, VH1 and several others. In the summer of 2015 Kyle Krone re-entered the studio armed with the cream of the crop from five years of writing to record his sophomore solo album "Sea Level" with Producer Jon O'Brien (Young The Giant) in Orange County, CA. The first impressions of the albums singles have already garnered radio play and high praise from the indie music press with quotes like: "the new single “Vanilla Sun,” brings Krone back to the sun and sand, and the romanticism they evoke. Over chiming guitars, walks on the beach commingle with dancing in the streets in Krone’s increasingly sophisticated pop." - Buzz Bands LA The new album "Sea Level" is slated for a Spring 2017 release.
