It's actually easier to just navigate to the address of the get-pip.py script. Also, the curl command won't work unless curl is installed, which it usually isn't. |

What does pip stand for (if anything)? Where does the name come from?
After version 1.5.6, Pip skipped to version 6.0.. Does anyone know why this is? It would be a nice piece of history to include. JonathonReinhart (talk) 23:33, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
