Darren W. Woods (born 1964/65) is CEO of ExxonMobil since 1 January 2017,[2] when he succeeded Rex Tillerson, following his selection by President-elect Donald Trump as the next US Secretary of State.[3]

Woods was born in Wichita, Kansas. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, followed by an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management.[2]
