According to the own article [[AACS encryption key controversy]], the controversy was not the spreading of the key but the attempt on behalf of the MPAA to suppress the spread. According to the own article AACS encryption key controversy, the controversy was not the spreading of the key but the attempt on behalf of the MPAA to suppress the spread.
