Early life
Findlay spent the first several years of her life in Doncaster, England, as well as in Leeds and Wakefield. At the age of nine, she and her family moved to York, England, where she spent the remainder of her youth growing up. Music inspired her at an early age, as she was raised in a household where songs frequently played either on the radio or on a turntable. Artists such as Kate Bush, Fleetwood Mac, and The Beatles were some of her early musical influences. As a result of this, she became increasingly interested in becoming a musical performer throughout her early youth. Between the ages of 12 and 13 she involved herself in various school productions as a singer, dancer, and actor. That same year, her grandfather purchased for Findlay her first acoustic guitar.
