James Treble is an awarded Australian Building & Interior Designer, better known to the Australian public for his presenting role on Network Ten lifestyle program The Living Room. An ambassador[1] for Planet Ark since 2015, James firmly supports sensible purchasing, recycling and creative re-purposing.

With decades of experience in the Building Industry, Treble is a specialised Kitchen and Bathroom Designer, a qualified Real Estate Agent, a Colour Consultant and has a diploma in Interior Design. Working as Building Designer together with some of the largest Home Builders in Australia since 2002, Treble main activity is helping his clients in planning and designing their new homes.

Treble writes as homes' design expert for the new Bauer monthly lifestyle magazine HOMES+ from its launch in 2014.

Since 2016, together with Cherie Barber (popularly known as Australian Renovation Queen), James publishes a comprehensive online course Interior Design For Profit which focusses on property improvement, effective styling and market targeting. Treble shares his knowledge also through workshops and seminars to students of Interior Design at TAFE and ISCD (International School of Colour and Design).

Thanks to his extensive travels and visits to international exhibitions James Treble is a sough after speaker on Interior Design and Trends and a popular MC to Building Industry Expos, Fairs and Awards.[2][3][4][5]

Radio and television

In 2012 Treble was invited to be the Interior Design expert on the successful and three times Logies winner TV lifestyle program The Living Room.[6] On the show every season since its beginning, James entertains the audiences through Design Challenges and Design Quickies.

Since 2016, Treble appears monthly on Sky News Real Estate, explaining live How and Why Interior Design affects and increases property value.

Since 2016 Treble is also live on radio with a weekly segment on popular Talking Lifestyle channel. Offering Home Design and Renovation advice Treble answers live to queries from radio and online listeners.

Design awards

In 2013 Treble designs the Benton Home[7] with Buildcraft Constructions, which achieves two Master Builders of Australia Excellence Awards.

In 2016, again with Buildcraft Constructions,[8][9] the Aurora Home[10] wins a Master Builders of Australia Excellence Award[11] as well as the Hills Building and Design Award for Residential Interior Design.[12]
