The Opera House in Manchester, England is a 2000 seat commercial touring theatre which plays host to touring musicals, ballet, concerts and a spectactular Christmas pantomime. It is the sister to the Palace Theatre which is a similar venue nearby.
The Opera House is particularly noted for hosting the British regional premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical The Phantom of the Opera with a production that opened in 1993 and ran through to 1995, an exceptional run for a regional production. The House was also the venue for a spectacular stage show, Gorillaz's Demon Days Live.
