Biruinta is now M/T IRIS STAR, Maltese Flag, Romanian-made ship 16 years old supertanker.
On on 27 July 2000 the 304-Metres long giant tanker “IRIS STAR” lost power due to engine failure and drifted towards Kandilli point in Turkey. The accident was avoided.
