Thanks again for your messages and the award. That is very kind of you although I don't think I deserve that. As for Varanasi, yes I am from there and go there quite often. Once a person gets accustomed to Varanasi and its ways, there is no better place in the whole world for him, but I am unlucky not to be able to live there permanently. As for Bhima's statue, I am sorry that I don't know about it. But if you want I can find out. In fact I live just a couple kms from the Ghats and go on the Dashashwamedh and other Ghats whenever I am there, but this one is something I don't know. In fact even after spending so many years there, there are still so many things I do not know. This is one of them probably. Thanks and keep up the good work. --[[User:Apandey|Apandey]] 18:08, 4 November 2006 (UTC) |

Re: Hare Krishna markings & Hinduism article
Hello HeBhagawan - thank you for your message. The Hinduism article looks much better than last time I looked a few months ago - I was genuinely impressed by the improvement.
1)The different Vaishnava sampradayas each have their own distinctive style of Tilak which depict the siddhanta of their particluar sampradaya. Gaudiya Vaishnavas are the only line I know to include the Tulsi leaf mark. For interest:
The Sri Vaishnavas have two lines representing the feet of Sri Narayana, with a red line in the middle which represents Lakshmi devi. Because the Sri Vaishnava sampradaya begins with Sri Lakshmi Devi, and because they approach Narayana only through Lakshmi, their tilak reflects this process of surrender.
In the Vallabha sampradaya the tilak worn is generally a single vertical red line. This line represents Sri Yamuna Devi. The form of Krishna worshiped in the Vallabha line is Sri Nathji or Govardhana. The consort of the Govardhana hill is the river Yamuna. Their process of surrender goes through Sri Yamuna Devi.
The Madhva sampradaya mark two vertical lines to represent the lotus feet of Krishna (nearly identical to the Hare Krishna style as they originate from the Madhva line). In between a vertical black line is made from the daily coal of the yajna-kunda. In their sampradaya, the process of worship involved nitya-homa, or daily fire sacrifices to Narayana or Krishna. The remnant coal of the puja was taken each day to mark the forehead. Underneath the black line, a yellow or red dot was put to indicate Lakshmi or Radharani. Those who did not perform daily fire sacrifice would only put the simple gopichandana (two line) tilak.
In the Gaudiya Vaishnava sampradaya the tilak is usually made out of mud from Vrindavan. The main tilak is basically identical to the Madhva tilak. The slight difference arose due to the emphasis on the chanting in the Gaudiya tradition. In Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's line, nama-sankirtana is the yajna to be performed in kali yuga, and not the daily fire sacrifice performed in rest of the Madhva sampradaya. As such, the black line made from the ash of the fire sacrifice is not included. The second difference arose due to Lord Chaitanya's process of approaching Krishna. In the Gaudiya line devotees do not approach Radha and Krishna directly, but always indirectly through their servant. To indicate this, the red dot representing Radha is replaced with a tulsi leaf offered at the base of Krishna's feet. In Gaudiya belief only through the mercy of Tulasi Devi (or another pure devotee) can pure devotion to Radha & Krishna or Krishna & Balarama be awakened.
2)I felt that the other quotations regarding Brahman in that section were all from a more or less advaita perspective and it would be useful to include a verse about Brahman from a different point of view, even if it is only a subtle difference in that connection. To be honest I'm ignorant as to what the title 'maha-vaakya' signifies - does it mean simply 'Great Quotation' or is it specifically 'from a chosen list of Great Quotations' in the Upanishads only maybe? Gita is sometimes called Gitopanishad after all ;-).

Hinduism article
Pranams, respected HeBhagawan ji,
I am very sorry that I was not able to offer any help with the debate on Karma. I find it too difficult to work on the Hinduism article, because I can't comprehend how it can be anything other than 100 lines or 1,00,000 lines. While I may work on the rhetoric of the article from time to time, I think that it would be very unlikely for me to participate in that article in any other way.

Hello HeBhagawan, this is I Seadog just saying thank-you. I am so glad that you offered peace to Swadyaye. This is one of the nicest things I've seen on Wikipedia. I understand that you have had problems with him and he with you but the way you offered peace was amazing. And isn't this the truth, OM. SHANTHI SHANTHI SHANTHI |

Who is this?
Hello HeBhagawan I have a question. Who is this you see to the right. Is He Vishnu? He is holding a mace, conch, disc and a lotus, would'nt this be a sign of Vishnu. I would like to know for sure. Thank you for your time.--Seadog 23:21, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know:D. And also thanks for calling me by my prefered name. Arjuna is a very personal subject to me. He represents us all when troubles haunt us and when we need some help from the Lord. OM namo Narayanaya.--Seadog 00:02, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- Apperantly things between you and Swadyayee arn't going very well. He has come to me with his feelings on your actions. I belive you two must talk it out and try to strive towards peace of mind and action or the realtion between you two will continue to fall into a deep darkness. Please consider.--Seadog 02:00, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

I think.
Thanks for re-fixing Karmanyeva.. again. I still think that provision of special place is superior over the word "area" devoid of house.
Swadhyayee 07:00, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
place is better.
Place is better like special "place in house". Area has varied meaning. Generally used for place other than place in house. In India, in cities the houses are two small. People make provision of small cupboard or wooden hanging temple on wall or use a shelf or dig wall a bit and fix the sides with tiles. The idea is to observe sanctity and piousness. People without bathe or ladies in menstruation won't touch this place. Someone after bathe may clean this place and offer Dipak, flowers, Naivedhya etc. and say morning prayers. Sometime they cover this place with curtain during other than Puja time.
Pl. don't use the word "beg" in any case. If, we don't find any word we can use "Bhiksha" but I am sure, I will be able to frame the sentence reverentially.
I have no doubt about your intentions not to lower Hinduism image but what you think is "not lower", I feel it lowers the image of Hinduism. When you write, you have to care for reaction of at least people working with you. If you can make changes in you, you will be detached from the article.
Chant ten times a day that this is not your article but you are a part of Wikipedia editors and all other editors are equal.

Pl. check my pop-up was not working + is there a vandal for some removal of book?
Pl. check. I have experimented as my pop-up was not working.Swadhyayee 16:51, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Check problem about edit software (history)
Ok for reversals.
Check comments on talk page and Priyanath's page. I think edit software of history is faulty and creating confusion and war.
