== Admin ==

Neither time nor edit counts are that important here. The thing you need to do is continue to show that you are a serious editor who has moved on from much of the maginal stuff like playing with signatures and creating user space projects that go nowhere. Your recent edits are good, continue to create some good articles and improve others that you can point to as accomplishments. Being an admin is about improving the project, not your convenience. So you have to show a willingness to work on some drudge things like cleanup tasks. It wouldn't hurt to do some AfDs as well. People notice where you show up, so show up in places where admins tools are needed to help out, you help some admins now and they will be happy to promote you so you can do it yourself in the future. On vandalism, don't just revert pages, get in the habit of posting warnings for all vandals (a history of warnings justifies an admin making a block, if no one warns, the vandal gets more free shots before someone realizes what they are doing). And report repeat vandals at [[WP:AIV]], you want to be visible as a vandal fighter. That all assumes you want to do vandal fighting, you don't have to. Instead, you can add you thoughts in even more project space areas than you have been doing, like [[WP:ANI]] and policy talk pages. Making thoughtful changes and suggestions is good. It is different for each user, but you have to build a case for us to really want you to be an admin. Of course, [[User:NoSeptember/Your RfA|read this]] too. Of course, you are free to vote in any way you deem relevant. However, I feel that your new listing on [[Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Standards]] is unintentionally going to punish responsible vandal-fighters. The responsible thing to do when reverting vandalism is to warn users on their talk pages, so that we can trace vandal activity and block to prevent further damage when warranted. By your standards, this can only amout to 5/24 of a user's total edit count, regardless of overall count or other merits. Something doesn't quite seem right about that. I agree, flexible standards are best. As long as someone has experience in many areas, who cares which ones they focus on more than others. :Don't leave. Take a break, don't take your RfA personally. You knew your RfA was premature and you know that RfAs can be tough. Adminship is many months in the future for you, be patient, and remember it's not all that important anyway. I was an active user for 9 months before I did my RfA, almost everyone has to wait, the waiting is not unique to you. But that's all in the past now. You can do a lot for the encyclopedia, and you have lots of friends, focus on your articles and your friends.
