:Yes, please. I saw it in Borders of all places the other day, and somehow neglected to buy it. Personally, I'd love to see their blog format -- I hope doesn't eliminate words for a false savings, as did the MLA with their website format. --zenohockey 00:04, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

Osepa was born in Kutaisi, Georgia, in 1963, and he graduated from the Art School of Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1987 with a degree in visual art. The art he creates today reflects his Georgian heritage.
Formatting symbols and Goals
The bold and underline should not be used to display the citation examples on this page. This would be confusing to a reader, especially since they are reserved specifically for practitioners. If the article is going to present examples, they should probably be in law review footnote format.

Osepa has been a member of the International Federation of Art, sponsored by UNESCO, and his artwork has been exhibited in Russia, Soviet Georgia, France, Italy and now in the United States.
Either another method of marking portions of a citation should be used, or there should not be a difference shown. Perhaps any marking can be in the prototype listing and not the specific example.

More generally, the goal of article should be reconsidered. What is the purpose of the article? To describe the content, purpose, and usage of the Bluebook? Or, to provide a primer on citations? It might be more usefull to separate these tasks into two articles.

There are also a few editorialized portions of the article, especially in the criticisms. These can benefit from rebuttals. --Mtpruitt 21:24, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

: I wanted to include many examples like many other computer language articles such as the Logo programming language. I think a split is not needed. -- Toytoy 05:29, Jun 14, 2005 (UTC)

Wikipedia
Why not a section on how to cite Wikipedia entries in Bluebook format? It might be good to standardize this a bit, as Bluebook practice can be inconsistent.
:I don't know if that should be in the Bluebook article. There is a page somewhere on Wikipedia with examples of how to cite Wikipedia articles in all major citation formats. It might be better to post that there and then link to that page from here. --Coolcaesar 03:42, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

Oops, I suppose I shold've looked here first. Anyway, for what it is worth, I added the citation format for Wikipedia that we use for our journal. I forgot to put the change summary in (sorry! still new to this). I'm not sure where it would go if not here; we do give several examples of citations to different sources, and I don't see why Wikipedia can't be one of those. I suppose it could be moved up to a separate section under Rule 18... In any case, I hope it is useful to someone. --Ksm10 21:07, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

I also found the Citing to Wikipedia page and updated it there. There was a Bluebook citation format, but that one was wrong... -- Ksm10 23:32, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Aren't Bluebooks not also the name e.g. for company address books?
I do not know why the company-wide name and address book in my company is called Bluebook. I already searched through the Internet, but could not find anything. Is there any native English speaking Wikepedianer who might be able to add somethins on that to the Bluebook page? Thanks Marc

:I've never heard of that usage in the United States at any of the companies I've worked for. It must be a practice specific to your company. --Coolcaesar 20:49, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
