Prosus N.V. is a global consumer internet group operating across a variety of platforms and geographies. It is one of the largest technology investors in the world.[2] The products and services of Prosus group’s businesses and investments are used by more than 1.5 billion people in 89 markets. These businesses and investments are the market leaders in 77 markets. [1]

On 11 September 2019, Prosus's ordinary shares will be listed on Euronext Amsterdam, and as a secondary inward-listing, on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Its expected market capitalisation will be c. USD100 billion,[3][4] the third highest market capitalisation on Euronext Amsterdam.[5] Prosus will be the largest consumer internet company in Europe by asset value.[6]

Business

The Prosus group’s expansion into internet platforms began in the 1990s.[1] The Group's consumer internet services span the core focus segments of:

  • Classifieds - including its subsidiary, OLX (100%).
  • Payments and Fintech - including its subsidiary, PayU (98.8%);
  • Food Delivery - including its subsidiary and associates, iFood (54.8%), Delivery Hero (22.3%) and Swiggy (38.8%),

in addition to:

  • Etail - including its subsidiary, eMag (80.1%); and
  • Travel - including its associate, Ctrip (6%).
