Up to date, he has published more than 100 research articles and delivered more than 75 keynote/invited talks and seminars. His research has been cited more than 6000 times with an h index of 43 in Google Scholar[1]. He is named among the World's Most Influential Minds and Highly Cited Researchers in Engineering, a global list released in 2018 by Clarivate Analytics based on Web of Science database.[2]

Educational Background

Dr. Linga obtained his Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras in 2000. Then he went on to pursue his Master of Technology degree at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and graduated in 2002. In 2004, he joined the Department of Chemical and Biological engineering at The University of British Columbia to pursue his doctoral studies. Under the supervision of Professor Peter Englezos, he obtained his doctoral degree in 2009. He stayed on for a year in the lab as a postdoctoral fellow.

Career

In 2010, he started his academic career at the National University of Singapore (NUS) as an Assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering specializing in gas hydrates technology. In 2016 he was appointed as an Associate Professor with tenure and in 2019 he was appointed as the Dean's Chair Associate Professor.[3] He is a also a visiting professor of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences and a visiting guest professor of Harbin Engineering University PR China. He did his Postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at The University of British Columbia (2009-2010), he also worked as a Senior Lecturer in M.S. Engineering College, Kilakarai, India.
