My references and information is from Mark Fuhrman himself. Please do not change. Laura Hart McKinney was Mark's girlfriend and was paid for her tapes which she solicited to the defense team. He only made $105,000.00 for the book 'Murder in Brentwood' and he had to sue just to get that for him and his co-author Steven Weeks. He has not made anymore royalties from any of his last 5 books. He plead the fifth to save his family the embarrassment of learning the details of his relationship with Laura Hart McKinney, although Caroline knew of the relationship, he did not wish to submit her to the personal details of it. He also could not afford to fight the perjury charge. He did what he thought was the right thing at that time, how dare you make assumptions that you do not know about. My sources are Mark Fuhrman. 'Men Against Women' was a play and not an organization of any sorts. McKinney interviewed both male and female officers. LAPD did an investigation into Mark's case history and they found absolutely no negative references to race whatsoever. I have worked with Mark and he is a very kind, thoughtful and considerate man. The price he paid was the loss of his life as he knew it. all because he answered the call to duty and investigated a double homicide of a very rich and fammus sports hero, who paid a lot for an 11 member defense team of lawyers who chewed up Mark and spit him out. Mark was just an average police detective doing his job. He didn't murder anyone, yet treated that way. Leave him be and let him try to live the rest of his life as normally as he possibly can, he deserves that much.
