It is NOT vandalism and there have been no petty digs at Wigan. The fact of the matter is, YOU need to get YOUR facts right. The schools you removed were not put as 'Winstanley Schools', which, as you say, they are not. They were put in as 'Local Schools', which they ARE. Winstanley is a 'catchment area' for those schools. Also, as you say, the schools referred to are in Goose Green, Hawkley Hall and Marus Bridge, NOT in Wigan. They might well be 'thought of' as being 'in' Wigan, or you might well 'say' they are in Wigan. The local people may call it Wigan, simply because Wigan is their local town. But you aren't 'in' Wigan until you cross the River Douglas. You might be pleased to know, though, that you are 'in' Wigan Borough, which is also in the 'Metropolitan Borough of Wigan'. To those who believe that they would fall off the edge of the world if they attempted to leave Wigan, it all seems a little too complex to understand!

*You HAVE vandalized the main Wigan page in the past, mainly the notable people section and you have had plenty of digs at Wigan/Wiganers in general which I can easily prove by searching past histories, how comical that you still have to have a dig in the last line of your above paragraph. There are much politer ways of getting your opinion across yet you seem incapable of doing this.

**The schools were on the Winstanley page so people will probably think these schools are in Winstanley, now if there was a sub header stating something along the lines of the fact that they aren't then it would be acceptable.

Hiya mate, was it you the user '80.192.242.187' (the lad from Ashton)called a 'Wigan clown' on his discussion page?. If it was will you get back to me as I'm going to approach senior users to see what can be done about this lad. Thanks Man2

You Said ...

  • I was the one who removed 3 schools form the 'local schools' section not Man2, seeing as I went to 2 of them. They definitely don't belong in the Winstanley section. Jemmy needs to get his facts right again. The schools where in Goose Green, Hawkley and Marus Bridge, all Wigan not Winstanley. Just as a note, the only reason I started posting on Wikipedia was because I was fed up of seeing all the vandalism and petty digs at Wigan that came from jemmy on his current and also previous IP's. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.33.171.111 (talk • contribs).
