Revision as of 09:54, 10 June 2020
I work for Quadient (previously known as Neopost), an international company, publicly traded and a Component B of Euronext Paris (the French stock market), and part of the SBF 120 and CAC Mid 60 stock indices, the 120 largest companies on the French stock exchange. I would like to suggest the following updates to this article:
1. Please substitute the new name of the company. “Quadient”[1][2] instead of “Neopost” in the title of the Infobox: replace “Neopost S.A." with “Quadient”
2. Please substitute the first paragraph as follows:
Please remove: “Quadient, formerly known as Neopost, is a manufacturer of mailing equipment (such as folder-inserters) and provider of mailing-related services.[3][4]”
And substitute it with: "Quadient, (founded in 1924 as Neopost), is a company that originally specialized in mail-related solutions. Its business evolved over the years from being a manufacturer of franking machines and mailroom equipment to a portfolio that includes business process automation, customer experience management, and parcel locker solutions.[5]"
Comment: The newly proposed lead is sourced to Le Figaro, a prominent editorial publication.
3. Please substitute the second paragraph as follows:
Please remove: "As of 2017, the company had a direct presence in 29 countries, about 5,800 employees, and annual sales of €1.1 billion. Its products and services are sold in about 90 countries.[6]"
And substitute it with: "As of 2019, the company had a direct presence in 29 countries, about 5,693 employees, and annual sales of €1.14 billion. Its products and services are sold in about 90 countries.[7]"
Comment: Updates out-of-date information.
4. Please substitute the third paragraph as follows:
Please remove: “Neopost is listed in compartment A of Euronext Paris and belongs to the SBF 120 index. [8] Neopost name change source. [9]"
And substitute it with: "Quadient is a company listed on the Euronext Paris market (Compartment B)[10]. Its stock is part of the SBF 120 index under the mnemonic code QDT.[11]"
Comment: Substitutes secondary sources for primary source. Updates out-of-date information.
5. Please add a new item to the bottom of the list of the section entitled “History”:
6. Update the Infobox as follows:
a. Please remove the old “logo = Neopost logo.svg”.
And substitute the new “logo = “Quadient logo tagline RGB.png”
b. Please remove the old stock symbol: “traded_as = Euronext: NEO”
And substitute the new stock symbol: “traded_as = Euronext: QDT[14]
c. In the “Key People” section, please remove: “Denis Thiery (Chairman) and Geoffrey Godet (CEO)[15]”.
And please substitute it with: "Didier Lamouche (Chairman) and Geoffrey Godet (CEO)[16]"
d. Please substitute the figures as follows.
Please remove:
"| revenue = €1.1 billion (2017)[17]
| operating_income = €202 million (2017)[17]
| net_income = €134 million (2017)[17]
| assets = €2.783 billion (end 2017)[17]
| equity = €1.169 million (end 2017)[17]
| num_employees = 5,800 (end 2017)[17]"
And please substitute it with:
| revenue = €1.14 billion (2019)[7]
| operating_income = €185 million (2019)[7]
| net_income = €14 million (2019)[7]
| assets = €3.115 billion (2019)[7]
| equity = €1.248 million (2019)[7]
| num_employees = 5,693 (2019)[7]
e. In the homepage section, please substitute the website links as follows:
Please remove:
"Official-Corporate
US
Canada
UK
Ireland
Australia"
And please substitute it with the new official website:
Comment: None of the local websites are needed since there is an existing link to the new corporate website.
