Acedicon is dihydrocodeine enol acetate , and it is made by acetylating dihydrocodeine which itself is produced by hydrogenating codeine .

Acedicon is a scheduled drug (narcotic) and is not used by the medical profession .

This and more information about acedicon is available in the Merck Index (But not in the Merck Manual , which is a different book entirely).
