Miyuki-chan in Wonderland (不思議の国の美幸ちゃん, Fushigi no Kuni no Miyuki-chan) is a manga by CLAMP which was first serialised in Japan in Newtype Magazine in 1995 and was later published as a tankōbon by Kadokawa Shoten. Its English publication was released by TOKYOPOP in 2003. It is a CLAMP's interpretation of the children's novel by Lewis Caroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, with an ecchi twist.

The series focuses on Miyuki, a schoolgirl who finds herself entering several different worlds. She encounters a bewildering number of scantily-dressed females who find Miyuki extremely attractive, all wishing to 'get to know her better, much to her dismay. Whenever she manages to escape from her pursuers, Miyuki awakes and writes off the incidents as a dream, but finds the entire situation repeating again, the words 'Never End' displayed instead of the usual 'The End'. Originally, it was intended to be only one story, but CLAMP team found it so enjoyable they decided to carry it further.

There is a stark lack of male characters in the series, which is highly yuri in nature.

Needless to say, Miyuki-chan in Wonderland is not for those seeking an accurate, alternative portrayal to the original Alice in Wonderland.

Aside from the manga, an audio CD and anime OVA also exist. These other versions do not include all seven stories. Miyuki-chan in Wonderland is a rare case of light-hearted, almost parodic fanservice fun amongst other CLAMP productions.

In the last world, Miyuki enters the world of X, better known as X/1999, another series by CLAMP. The Video Game Land also shares some tiny similarities to another series by CLAMP, Magic Knight Rayearth.

Characters

Miyuki: An average yet pretty school girl. She appears to be pretty bright, if a bit scatterbrained. She's also very innocent, claiming to have never even had a boyfriend before. So when she lands in several strange worlds filled with pretty women trying to "get to know her better," she becomes very panicky and wished for nothing more than to return home. Miyuki is the Alice of Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland. She looks like a typical anime schoolgirl, with a long skirted white, yellow, and blue sailor fuku, light brown hair, and pretty blue eyes.

Bunny-San: The first strange woman Miyuki meets, and one of the few that doesn't actually try to seduce her. As Miyuki races to school, Bunny-san rushes by on her skateboard, headphones over her human ears, shouting about "it" being late. Because of this distraction, Miyuki doesn't notice herself falling into a hole with the strange lady until it's too late. She is seen again at the end of the story as Miyuki's being chased, and when the events repeat. Bunny-San is the White Rabbit of Miyuki-chan in Wonderland. appearance is very akin to that of a playboy bunny, with a dark red leotard/tux, blue hair, blue eyes, tights, and dark red high heels.

The Doorway Girl: A girl in a waitress outfit that is connected to a big pair of doors. She takes an instant liking to Miyuki and think she's funny. Her breasts serve as the door knobs. She appears only in the first story and only in the anime. Doorway Girl is the Doorknob in Miyuki-chan in Wonderland. Her appearance is similar to waitresses at Anna Miller restaurants, with long blonde corkscrew-like hair, green eyes, and an orange and white uniform. She speaks with a computer-like voice.

Cho Lee and To Lee: Twin girls who are expert martial artists. They appear friendly at first in the anime, then proceed to challenge Miyuki. They attempt to bring Miyuki down, possibly in an attempt to strip her (her uniform does get ripped during the fight in the manga). Cho Lee and To Lee are the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum of Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland. They have black hair in an odango style, Chinese female fighter outfits with the Yin-Yang symbol on them(Cho Lee's is red, To Lee's is blue).

The Mad Hatter: One of three showgirl-like women who try to get Miyuki to join them for tea. In the anime she succeeds in getting Miyuki to join them and attempts to go up Miyuki's shirt. When asked by Miyuki where she is, all she says is that she is "here." Mad Hatter is, as the name suggests, the Mad Hatter of Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland. She wears a top hat and a women-style tuxedo that barely covers her body, and fishnet stocking. She has red hair in an elaborate bun.

The Hare: One of three showgirl-like women who try to get Miyuki to join them for tea. In the anime she gives Miyuki the tea that helps her grow big again. Hare is the March Hare of Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland. Her appearance is, like Bunny-San, similar to a playboy bunny, but she wears a yellow halter top and thong rather than the sleeveless leotard/tux that bunny sama wears. She also has very short silver hair and brown eyes.

The Mouse: One of three showgirl-like women who try to get Miyuki to join them for tea. She attempts to look up Miyuki's skirt before she runs away in the anime. Mouse is the Dormouse of Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland. She also looks like a gray playboy bunny, althought with mouse ears and a tail. She has long blonde hair and green eyes.

Chesire Cat: An epitome of the classic sexy "catgirl" look popular in anime/manga, the Chesire cat meets Miyuki in a dark forest. After Miyuki questions her about the place (asking questions which are ignored), she introduces herself and starts trying to seduce the girl, much to Miyuki's dismay. Chesire Cat is represented as the Chesire Cat of Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland. As forementioned, she's a typical "catgirl", with long bushy blonde hair, orange cat-like eyes, an orange tiger print leotard with matching gloves and boots, and tiger ears and tail.

Trump Card Girls: These girls serve the mistress by painting the rose girls red. They secretly wish to be punished by the Mistress. Trump Card girls are the Cards of Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland. They only wear white skirts and aprons that cover their breasts and have card symbols on them, and hats, earrings, and shoes that match their aprons. They only appear in the anime.

Rose Girls: Girls that represent the queen's roses, and are similarly painted red from white. They wear lingerie with huge rose shaped bonnets and even bigger roses on their buttocks. They only appear in the anime.

Mistress: A dominatrix full of S&M gear. She likes only red roses and will punish her servants severely. Upon learning Miyuki's name, she cracks her whip and orders her to lick her boots. She ends up chasing Miyuki as she crack her whip, laughing maniacally. Mistress is the Queen of Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland. She has long blonde hair in a regal style, a gold bejeweled crown, a purple S&M dominatrix outfit, green eyes, spiked collar with a chain, and a long flowing black cape with red spiked up collar.

Miyuki-Chan in Mirrorland

Mirror Miyuki: Miyuki is pulled into Mirrorland by her own reflection, after it gives her a kiss of course. It isn't seen again until later, when Miyuki is at the chess board. In the anime she plays against Miyuki in a game of chess, she controlling the red/black pieces and Miyuki the white/blue ones. In the end she ends up losing and takes off her clothes, even as Miyuki protests (not wanting someone who's basically her to strip.) After Miyuki returns, her reflection goes back to normal, except for the very last thre seconds when she turns around (Miyuki was facing away from the mirror) and gives us the peace sign.

Jabberwocky: a demonic but sexy looking girl, sitting atop a pole as Miyuki first enters MirrorLand. After trying to look up Miyuki's skirt and takes her into her arms and flies off with her, taking her to an area where the sky was beneath her and the land was above. She represents the Jabberwocky (obviously) and has light brown skin, red eyes, long bushy white hair, and a sort of S&M servant type of outfit. She is able to fly with black bat like wings and has a long tail.

Sumire-Chan: A tiny flower woman whom Miyuki accidentally lands on when she falls onto the field of flowers. After yelling at Miyuki to get off her she instantly falls for Miyuki, calling her a pretty girl and clinging to her face. She only appears in the anime. Sumire is Japanese for violet, and as her name suggests she's dressed in violet lingerie, with said flower in place of a bun on the back of her head.

Yuri-San: Another tiny flower girl. She appears to be the older and more mature between them. She also falls for Miyuki and was the first to call her "pretty girl." She invites Miyuki to join her and Sumire-chan as they "play" with each other, to which Miyuki turns down. She only appears in the anime. Yuri is Japanese for lily, and as her name suggests she has lilies on where her ears would be with a lily necklace, and in lily white lingurie.

Butterfly: She's a tiny little humanoid butterfly, much like a fairy. She's one of the few who don't try and seduce her, and instead helps her a little by blowing a little wind into Miyuki's tired face. Her wings are delicate and transparent, and is so lightweight a simple breath can blow her away. She cannot understand Japanese. She only appears in the anime.

Humpty Dumpty: She controls the chess board while sitting inside an oversized egg. She wears her white hair in an elegant syle, her eyes are orange, and she wears a long yellow dress and scarf, white fluffy boa, and tiny orange egg earrings.

Chess pieces: The chess pieces on the board are, as expected, all beautiful women dressed up as chess pieces. The colors are white/blue and red/black.

Miyuki-Chan in TV Land

Snow Twins: Two young girls who appears sweet and cute, before saying obscene things, tying Miyuki by the wrists to a tree branch, and using pacman-like creatures to tear her pajamas to shreds, leaving only the bare minimum to cover her shame.

Angel: A beautiful woman who saves Miyuki twice in this story. She has two sets of wings, one set on her back, the other pair acting as ears.

Empress: A dark and aggressive woman who takes a strong liking to Miyuki and won't take no for an answer. When Miyuki escaped she sent her harem to capture her.

Miyuki-Chan in Part-Time Job Land

The Five Waitresses: These girls aren't here to take your order. They fight with each other and a reluctant as usual Miyuki in a no holds barred free for all battle royale. The object is to rip off the other girls' uniforms, and the last one fully clothed is the winner. Most of their attacks are related to food service, including:

• Ninja Chop Suey

Other are just basic attacks that are commonly seen in anime.

Miyuki-chan in Mahjong Land

Strip Mahjong Girl: The apparent heroine of the comic Miyuki was reading. She and two other women come out to play strip mahjong with Miyuki. SMG is an expert at the game and in no time she has the two other girls out of their clothes. When Miyuki defeats her she transforms and tries to strip Miyuki anyways. But because of Miyuki's quick thinking she was defeated and Miyuki becam the new Mahjong Girl.

Flight Attendant: One of the girls that followed Mahjong Girl. Was first to strip.

Nurse: One of the girls that followed Mahjong Girl. Was second to strip.

Miyuki-Chan in Video Game Land

Priestess: One of the women that follow Miyuki, claiming she is the hero. She saves Miyuki by saying a spell with the Sorceress that hurts the incubus (and rips of its clothes). She also helps find armor for Miyuki.

Sorceress: One of the women that follow Miyuki, claiming she is the hero. She saves Miyuki by saying a spell with the Priestess that hurts the incubus (and rips of its clothes). She also helps find armor for Miyuki.

Bunny-girl: One of the women that follow Miyuki, claiming she is the hero. She looks up Miyuki's skirt as she comments on her lack of armor and constantly rags on her.

Warrior: One of the women that follow Miyuki, claiming she is the hero. She saves Miyuki by pinning the incubus down and away from Miyuki, but supsequently turns the demon's sexual attention to herself.

Incubus: A demon Miyuki finds in a treasure chest that Miyuki opens. She jumps on her (supposedly in an attempt to seduce her), but is stopped by the priestess, sorceress, and the warrior. She takes a liking to Warrior after she pounces on her. Her stats say she's level 20, MP is 44, HP is 160, and is a "Sexy Demon." Though she's called an incubus, it's more likely they meant succubus, which is the female counterpart of an incubus.

Mi-Chan: A dragon the team uses to get to the final battle.

Final Boss: The final boss to the role playing game, who's identity surprises Miyuki.

Miyuki-Chan in X Land

Kamui-Chan: A character from the manga X. Miyuki ends up taking his place.

Hinoto-hime: A character from the manga X. She asks Miyuki to save the earth, despite Miyuki's attempts to correct her.

Kanoe-San: A character from the manga X. She tries to feel Miyuki up, calling her Kamui.

The Beast: A supercomputer from the manga X. He tries to capture Mizuki.

Karen-San: A character from the manga X. She strips Miyuki and puts her in some frilly ligurie.

Arashi-San: A character from the manga X. She blasts at Miyuki, shredding her lingurie.

Yuzuriha-Chan: A character from the manga X. She offers Miyuki a snack, causing her to lose the last of her clothing.

Differences Between Manga and Anime

• The anime only covers two stories, while the manga shows seven separate stories.
• Doorway Girl only appears in the anime.
• There is no shrinking tea in the manga.
• In the manga Miyuki runs away after turning down the offer for tea. In the anime she's forced to sit and enjoy it, which turns out to be impossible.
• The rose girl and trump card girls only appear in the anime.
• In the manga the Mistress demands to be called Mistress. In the anime she demands to be called queen.
• The isn't a giant Jabberwocky totem pole in the manga, although the Jabberwocky does sit atop a pole.
• There was no field of flowers floating in the sky in the original manga, and as such no Yuri-San or Sumire-Chan. After the Jabberwocky drops her she's immediately sent to the chess board.
• There were no floating creek in the original manga, and no Butterfly.
• There wasn't an actual chess game scene in the manga.

Crossover with Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle

Miyuki can also be found in the series Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle where she can be found in a cameo in each world that the characters visit. She is often found in large crowds. Every time she is found in the manga, it seems that she is in a hurry, sometimes running with a slice of toast in her mouth, which is a similar scenario in how which Miyuki is always running late to school in her original manga.
