Ethical Consumer is a UK magazine that also publishes a lot of its key information for free on its corresponding website [1]. It is in its own words "an alternative consumer organisation looking at the social and environmental records of the companies behind the brand names".

Its stated reasons for existence are to promote universal human rights, environmental sustainability and animal welfare by informing consumers of which brands and products are ethical to buy.

The term ethical consumer also describes someone who practices ethical consumerism.
