The essential elements of a scientific method are :
1. Observe some aspect of the universe.

Characterizations ( observations, and measurements)
2. Invent a tentative description, called a hypothesis, that is consistent with what you have observed.
Hypotheses (theoretical)
Predictions (reasoning include hypothesis and theory to force outcome)
Experiments (tests of all of the above)

3. Use the hypothesis to make predictions.

4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations and modify the hypothesis in the light of your results.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there are no discrepancies between theory and experiment and/or observation.

Scientific Diagram is when you complete a illustaration

that pretains to a certain "something" mostly used by scientists.

Different Types of Diagrams

  • Flow Chart
  • Sequence Chart
  • Cause and Effect
  • Tree diagram
  • Graph ( pie, line, etc.)
  • Concept Map
  • Family Tree
  • Venn Diagram
  • Mind Map ( Board Games- Visual,Words)

Scienctific Methods

The essential elements of a scientific method are :

Characterizations ( observations, and measurements) Hypotheses (theoretical) Predictions (reasoning include hypothesis and theory to force outcome) Experiments (tests of all of the above)

What to Do?

Any kind of diagram you do has to cause something scientifically. You might include how a rock is born but get into more depth and say how a Metamorphic rock is born.

Scientific Diagram Example

1. Lava and Magma cools

2. The lava and magma becomes a rock when crystal structure forms.

3. The rock then forms what is know as a Igneous Rock.
