Soul Lady(서울여자) is the debut studio album by Japanese musician Yukika Teramoto, released on July 21st, 2020 by Estimate, LLC.

Lyrics and themes

The album has been described as "an album where a Japanese artist sings about being of a Korean city, in a genre that originated in Japan but using Korean lyrics".^[3]. It deals with themes of being an immigrant, loneliness, nostalgia, homesickness, change and the symbolism of the city of Seoul.^[3]^[4]

HELLOKPOP, giving the album three stars out of five, called the album "a great start, but Soul Lady‘s tracks are not so consistently outstanding in their sound that they overcome the need for a compelling theme or narrative."^[3] Kpopmap said that Yukika had "proven that she is an artist who can pull off a diverse spectrum of genres".^[4]
