Biotechnology focuses on Zero Hunger by improving crops using recombinant DNA technology in order to make them disease resistant thereby increasing the yield thus fighting hunger throughout the world. It focuses on Climate Action by utilizing the potential of microbes and plants to clean the environment. Biotechnology also contributes towards Good Health and Well Being and Affordable and Clean Energy by utilizing the potential of microbes and plants. Microbes can be engineered or be used as such to produce industrially important products by using waste materials of industries as substrates thus reducing pollution along with contributing to the sustainable economic growth in world. Also by producing beneficially pharmaceutically important products and contributing to human health by using gene therapy, vaccination etc. Biotechnology contributes towards Good Health and Well Being as well as helping the Life on Land .
