John Ortberg, Jr. (born 1957, Rockford, Illinois) is the senior pastor of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in Menlo Park, California, an evangelical church with over 2000 members. A graduate of Fuller Seminary, Ortberg is best known for his award-winning books on Christian living released through Zondervan Publishing. He formerly served as a teaching pastor at megachurch Willow Creek Community Church in Barrington, Illinois. Ortberg has notably spoken out in favor of the recent TNIV translation of the Bible.
