Ólafur Stefansson

Ólafur Stefánsson (born July 3 1973 in Reykjavík, Iceland) is a Icelandic Handball player who currently plays for BM Ciudad Real of the Spanish Liga ASOBAL. His demarcation is right winger.

He started in the Reykjavík sports club Valur and became Icelandic champion with that team in the 1993/1994 season. In 1995 he was selected for the Icelandic national handball team. From Valur he went as a professional player to Germany playing with HC Wuppertal. Then he transferred to SC Magdeburg.

In 2005 he transferred from SC Magdeburg to Ciudad Real.
