Animal Bioscience (AB) is a continued publication of Asian-Australasian Journal of Animal Sciences (AJAS) [1]. The journal is a peer-reviewed international journal and it is an open access monthly journal published by Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production Societies (AAAP). The journal aims to publish original research results and reviews on animal-related aspects of the life sciences, emphasizing studies involving farm animals such as cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, and poultry. Animal Bioscience will encompass all areas of animal production and fundamental aspects of animal sciences: breeding and genetics, reproduction and physiology, nutrition, dairy and meat science, biotechnology, behavior, health, welfare and livestock farming systems.
History
Animal Bioscience was established in 1988 as Asian-Australasian Journal of Animal Sciences (AJAS) and published more than 5,800 articles until 2020. The current name of Animal Bioscience was adopted in January 2021[2].
