David Throsby
Professor David Throsby (1939-) is an Australian economist, especially well-known as a cultural economist. He is now a Professor of Economics at Macquarie University, Sydney. He achieved his doctorate at Lodon School of Economics. He is a past-president of Association for Cultural Economics Intenational (ACEI). He joins the editorial boards of some journals such as the Journal of Cultural Economics, the International Journal of Cultural Policy. His book, Economics and Culture, has been translated into several languages, including French and Japanese. His suvey of cultural economics in JEL has benn frequently quoted since 1994.
