Wagle Ki Duniya - Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey[1] (literally: 'Wagle's World - New Generation New Stories') is an Indian sitcom that premiered on 8 February 2021 on Sony SAB.[2] It is based on characters created by noted cartoonist, R. K. Laxman, especially the common man about the issues of common middle-class Indian man. It stars Sumeet Raghavan as a manager in a courier company, Pariva Pranati as his wife, and Anjan Srivastav as Srinivas Wagle: Rajesh's father and Bharati Achrekar as Srinivas's wife.[3][4]
Overview
The series is set around everyday struggles, of nervous courier company manager, Rajesh Wagle, who lives with prudence of a middle class person of the time. The show presents the everyday struggles of the people from three generations from their own perspectives. Each episode follows a different story which starts and ends with a narration.

- Sumeet Raghavan as Rajesh Srinivas Wagle a.k.a. Raju/Raj, Srinivas and Radhika's son, Vandana's husband, Sakhi and Atharva's father. He works in a courier service company and loves his family and wants to hold the family together. (2021–present)
- Pariva Pranati as Vandana Rajesh Wagle a.k.a. Vandu/Vandu-rani, Srinivas and Radhika's daughter-in-law, Rajesh's wife, Sakhi and Atharva's mother. She is a housewife. (2021–present)
- Anjan Srivastav as Mr Srinivas Wagle (referred as Senior Wagle by Radhika), Rajesh's father and Radhika's husband. He is fond of his old things which irritates his wife Radhika. He often compares Boriwali to his beloved hometown Dadar and often says "Radhika....see the fun". He is generous, kind and helpful. The story revolved around him in first season. (2021–present)
- Bharati Achrekar as Mrs Radhika Wagle, Srinivas's wife, Vandana's mother-in-law and Rajesh's mother. She is fed up with her husband's love for his old possessions but loves him nonetheless. The story revolved her in first season (2021–present)
- Chinmayee Salvi as Sakhi Wagle, Rajesh and Vandana's daughter, Atharva's elder sister. She is intelligent and responsible, but sometimes feels that her parents love Atharva more as she is a girl. She is named after Rajesh's school time crush Madhura, whom he fondly called "Sakhi" (2021–present)
- Sheehan Kapahi as Atharva Wagle, Rajesh and Vandana's son, Sakhi's younger brother. He is the family's troublemaker. He is the real son of the Wagle family.(2021–present)
- Amit Dolawat as Dushyant Wagle, Srinivas's second son. He went to the U.S. to study, instead accidentally got married to a beautiful widow, Priyanka Joshi. His catchphrase is "Chill Chill, Relax Relax"

- Deepak Pareek as Honourable Secretary Advocate Dakshesh Joshipura: He is Yamini's husband and the stubborn and possessive secretary of Sai Darshan High Society who always says "Rules matlab rules follow na kare te fools" that means Rules are rules and who doesn't follows it they're fools. He strictly objects to the residents in the society for small details and have very weird rules such as no one should keep any clothes to dry in their balcony. He has a love-hate relationship with Rajesh and always supports Vandana. (2021–present)
- Mansi Joshi as Mrs. Doctor Yamini Dakshesh Joshipura Mehta: Dakshesh's Wife. She is Doctor and an theater artist. She often says dialogues of Hindi and Gujrati plays.
- Amit Soni as Mr Harshad Aggarwal: Jyoti's husband, Vidyut and Gungun's father. He works in the share market and often eats mouth fresheners. Wagle's neighbour and Rajesh's friend.(2021–present)
- Bhakti Chauhan as Mrs Jyoti Aggarwal, Harshad's wife, Vidyut and Gungun's mother who always translates Harshad's saying. She is helpful and sometimes shows off her luxury. She is Vandana's friend. (2021–present)

- Nayan Shukla as Sandeep Dasani: A staff member in Rajesh's courier office, who always eats food from everyone's tiffin and makes weird expressions. (2021–present)

- Urmila Katkar as Asha: She is the maid who works in the flats of Sai Darshan High Society who gossips about every neighbour's flat, especially Dakshesh's. Rajesh always gets confused between her and Vandana and often addresses her as 'Vandurani' (which he uses for Vandana) to which she always replies 'Vandurani nahi Asha Rani'(2021–present)
- Satyavrat Mudgal as Tiwari; Sai Darshan High Society's watchman to whom Dakshesh scold for small issues and Wagle's help him.
- Hitanshu Nagia as Vidyut Agarwal, Harshad and Jyoti's son, Gungun's brother and Atharva's friend. He, like his mother loves to show off his luxury and often makes fun of Atharva about the punishments he get for causing trouble or pranking.
- Charmi Dhami as Gungun Agarwal, Harshad and Jyoti's daughter, Vidyut's sister and Sakhi's friend. She is also kind, responsible and intelligent like her friend.
- Suhail Iqbal as Tejwani Sir, Rajesh's boss. He is the owner of P2P Max courier service.

Production
The show is produced by Jamnadas Majethia and Aatish Kapadia of Hats Off Productions. The show was first teased featuring Sumeet Raghavan on Sony SAB's official YouTube channel on 5 December 2020.[5][6] The show has been given a special COVID-19 touch.[7]
The shooting of the show was halted in April 2021 after 8 people reportedly tested positive for COVID-19[8][9]
They started their shooting again in Silvasa from 19 April 2021 and started airing new episodes from 26 April 2021.
