Baccharis genistelloides (also called Baccharis trimera or carqueja[1]) is a species of plant from the Asteraceae family.[2] B. genistelloides is one of the most studied species in the genus Baccharis regarding its phytochemistry and pharmacological effects.[3]

The flowers on this plant are unisexual.[2]

The plant species is widely used in folk medicine.[1] The plant contains flavonoids.[4]

It is found in countries like Peru, Bolivia, Chile,[5] and Brazil.[6]
