Trimonoecy (also called polygamomonoecious) is when male, female, and hermaphrodite flowers are on the same plant.[1]
It is a monomorphic sexual system along with monoecy, gynomonoecy, and andromonoecy. It is hypothesized that trimonoecy originated from gynomonoecy.[2]
