Sebeos

Lead

[edit]

Sebeos (Armenian: Սեբեոս) is a writer, likely a cleric as well, whose history is dated to roughly the 7th century in Armenia.

Sebeos, now often known as Pseudo-Sebeos, was originally misidentified as a Bagratuni Bishop. The real author remains unknown. Sebeos' history is particularly important for its early descriptions of Muhammad from a Christian source.
